Introduction:
Since the Mid-Valley Water Ski Club Junior
Development Team was formed in 2003, the
program has developed into a very
successful program. Qualified coaches,
drivers, tournament boat owners and
sponsors help us keep the cost down. A great
value, membership onto the team is open to
all kids 17 and under.
Practice Dates:
Each participant will receive quality coaching
and two rounds of practice on the water each
day. Practice will be held Tuesdays and
Thursdays, the last week of June and
continuing though July.
One half of the team will practice mornings,
10:00 am - 12:30 pm and the other half
afternoons, 1:30 - 4:00 pm. From 12:30 - 1:30
pm all skiers will have lunch and a team
briefing. The kids will practice on the order in
which they sign up or depending on their
summer schedule.

Purpose:
The purpose of the Mid-Valley Junior
Development team is to introduce kids to
water sports: wake board, trick and slalom
competition through quality practice conditions
in a safe, fun and profession environment.
Goals:
»Promote teamwork; provide the fun and
excitement of water skiing and wake boarding.
»Provide safe ski and wake board conditions
through practice at private and "exclusive
use" semi-private ski sites.
»Motivate skiers to compete in tournament
competition and improve their skills.
»Aspire to one day be on a college ski team.
»Encourage kids and their parents to become
part of the friendly water sport community by
meeting other riders, coaches, parents, lake
owners, and people in the water sports
industry.

Registration:
The fee for the Mid-Valley JDT program is
$260. This included ten practices, (water ski
or wake boarding), a team shirt, a framed
team picture, daily lunches and the registration
fee into two tournaments.

The USA Western Regional Tournaments

or in your regional guide. International Novice
League (INT) information can be found at
www.intleague.com. Optional tournaments for
team members will be at Lakeside Ranch in
Westly, CA, as well as INT tournaments.
Registration for USA Water Ski and INT
tournaments is included in the Team
registration fee.
