Purpose:
The purpose of the Mid-Valley Jr. Development
Team is to introduce kids to water sports, wake
board, trick, and slalom competition through quality
practice conditions in a safe, fun and professional
environment.

Goals:
Promote teamwork, good sportsmanship, provide
the fun and excitement of water skiing and wake
boarding. Provide safe conditions for ski and wake
board through practice at private and semi-private
ski sites.

Motivate skiers who are ready to advance to a
higher level to compete in tournament competition.

Introduce kids and their parents to become part of
the friendly water ski community by meeting other
skier, coaches, parents, lake owners, and people
in the water ski industry.
Registration:
The fee for Mid-Valley JDT is $260.00. This
includes ten practices (water ski or wake board), a
team shirt, a framed team picture, daily lunches
and the registration fee into two tournaments.

Practice Dates:
Each participant will receive quality coaching and
two rounds of practice on the water each day.
Practice will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays,
starting June 30 and continuing through July.


Practice Times:

One half of the team will practice mornings, 10:00 -
12:00, and the other half in the afternoons, 12:00
-4:00. From 12:30 - 1:30, all skiers will have lunch
and a team briefing. The kids will practice in the
order in which they sign up or depending on their
summer schedule.

Discounted Pre-season Practice:
Practice rides will be given for registered team
members before team season begins by
arrangement only. Cost will be $5.00 for 8 passes
or 4 falls in slalom, trick, or wake board.


Requirements:
In addition to paying the registration fee, the follow
must be completed before the first day of practice:
1) Single or Family Membership into Mid-Valley
Water Ski Club
2) Sign the Stanislaus County Hold Harmless
agreement, legal and medical waivers
3) Member of USA Water Ski as an active skier
(
www.usawaterski.org)
4) Have necessary equipment for both water skiing
and wake boarding
5) Transportation to and from practices and
tournaments
6) Inform coaches of any special medication or
medical conditions
7) Dates unavailable to attend during season due
to other commitments

Optional:
1) Annual pass into Modesto Reservoir Regional
Park.
2) Delta Rats Camp (June 21-24)
3) Competing in Class C and INT tournaments

The USA Western Regional Tournaments can be
found online at
www.usawater.org or in your
regional guide. Optional tournaments for team
members will be at Lakeside Ranch in Westly on
Saturday, July 11 and Sunday, July 12 and INT at
Wolf Lakes, Clovis Saturday, July 18 and Sunday,
July 19. Registration for these tournaments is
included in the team registration fee. Registration
for INT tournaments can be found at

Lunches:
Lunches and water will be provided. If children
require a special diet or drink, they must bring it
with them.

Every effort will be made to defray costs by
obtaining sponsorship from various organizations
and through fund-raising events. If your business

Introduction:
Since Mid-Valley Water Ski Club Junior
Development Team was formed in 2003, it has
developed into a very successful program.
Qualified coaches, drivers, sponsors, and
tournament boat owners help us keep the cost
down, a great value. Membership onto the team is
open to all kids, 18 and under.
